Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth It After 70? My 7-Month Experience
I used to think a lot about my retirement and how I would use my time. But ever since I joined WA in June 2024, I haven’t had time to think about it anymore.
There’s always something new to learn, and with the recent dramatic shifts in search engines—particularly Google—affiliate marketing has become more challenging. We’ve all had to adapt the way we present our sites and content.
Whether these changes are for the better, only time will tell. And no doubt, more changes will come. Sure, I’d love to have some of my past wealth back, but it’s not as important as it once was. As we get older, our needs, visions, and goals evolve. And sometimes, the body doesn’t cooperate if we make plans that are too bold.
Wealthy Affiliate Review After 70
WA keeps me busy, and I can choose the areas I want to focus on. One of the biggest advantages of Wealthy Affiliate is its adaptability. While many know it for affiliate marketing, it has expanded far beyond that. Whether you’re interested in e-commerce, YouTube, or digital content creation, the tools and training are designed to help navigate the constantly shifting online business world.
Today, online success isn’t just about affiliate links—it’s about building a strong brand presence and diversifying income streams, something WA has helped me understand more deeply. I’m happy to say that what I’ve learned here has already led to some reasonable income—enough to cover a few bills. By the end of the year, I expect to have a final count on just how much of an impact it has made.
How Wealthy Affiliate Evolves
The key takeaway for me is that even in just months—not years—WA has already proven its worth. I needed to reignite my motivation, and WA has done that. I needed to catch up with technology and modern sales strategies, and WA has done that. One thing that truly surprised me about WA was how much I had to unlearn. Many strategies I thought were effective in online business had already changed. The way Google ranks content, the role of video marketing, and the impact of AI-driven tools were things I had to adjust to.
Instead of just teaching outdated affiliate marketing tactics, WA focuses on staying ahead of these trends—something I didn’t expect but have come to appreciate. Learning to work with social media, making videos, and, most importantly, understanding how to leverage AI—these have been game changers.
AI Is Changing Everything
Without WA, I doubt I’d be as familiar with AI or be using it as effectively as I am today. There have been bumps in the road—some amusing, at least to my sense of humour—while others have been genuine challenges.
But then there’s the WA community. Some members offer incredible advice, others help keep you focused, and as a whole, the community rallies around to support one another.

Looking Forward
Looking forward, my goal isn’t just to stick to one strategy, but to build multiple digital assets—whether through content sites, video marketing, or even exploring e-commerce opportunities. Wealthy Affiliate has provided me with the foundation to do this, and I can see how it will continue to evolve as the online world changes. Success online isn’t about following just one path—it’s about adapting, testing, and taking action. To close, Wealthy Affiliate has given me a renewed sense of purpose. What I’ve learned and now apply daily is starting to yield returns. For me, WA is absolutely value for money. And as the old saying goes, “You only get out what you put in.”
Have a great weekend,
Rob
